Josephine Howard (née Keane),

Muingmore, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully, in the loving care of the Staff of Abbey Breaffy Nursing Home, Breaffy, Castlebar on 31^st January 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Laurence, parents James and Sarah, sisters Norah, Sadie and Beatie and brother John.

Beloved mother of Laurence (Greystones, Co. Wicklow), Sarah (Castlebar, Co. Mayo), Seán (Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare) and Noreen (Ennis, Co. Clare) and cherished grandmother to Aoife, Lauren, Seán, Danny, Saoirse, Niamh, Roisín, Seán, Larry, Caoimhe, Luke, Seán Óg, Cathal and Paddy. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken children, grandchildren, daughters in law Kate and Geraldine , sons in law John Moran and John Vaughan, brothers Pat (New York, U.S.A.) and Seamus (Athlone, Co. Westmeath), sister Mary Duffy (Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Monday evening from 4 o’clock until 6 o’clock. Funeral arriving at the Church of our Lady Lourdes, Glencastle on Tuesday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Tuesday at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing at 7 o'clock on Tuesday evening.
