Brendan O’Dowd,
Rathmadder, Gurteen, Co. Sligo (February 13th 2022) - peacefully, in the tender care of the staff and nurses at Bailey’s Nursing Home, Tubbercurry.
Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Bea, his brother Raymond and his nephew Richard.
Brendan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Breege, son Kieran, daughter-in-law Caroline, brothers John and Leon, sister Phil, sisters-in-law Helen, Catherine and Madeline, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
May Brendan’s Gentle Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
Brendan will repose at O’Dowd’s Funeral Home, Gurteen on Tuesday (February 15th) from 5pm until 7:30pm with removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen for Prayers at 8pm.
Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Gurteen Cemetery.
House strictly private please.
Funeral Mass will be live-streamed via webcam at www.churchtv.ie/gurteen

As an outsider Brendan to me was a dear friend and kind colleague in the trade with his outstanding support to myself and my company
For years on end we travelled together to Dublin to represent the trade
No finer person stood on a podium as Brendan. He left a lasting impression on all
the people he encontered with His Respect, Kindness, Empathy and above all Honesty
As a fellow Pioneer everyone will deeply miss Brendan
May the good Lord and our Lady wrap their arms around and welcome you into your
Richly deserved reward in Heaven
