William Clarke (better known as Billy),

Ballyhaunis Road and formerly of D’alton Street, Claremorris, Co. Mayo - peacefully at his residence.

Predeceased by his parents Frank and Nellie, his twin brother Frank and sister Eleanor Caulfield.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Tom, Michael, Fr Christopher (Carmelite Order) and John, sister Mary Cannon (Australia), sister-in-law Una, brothers-in-law Peter Caulfield and Jim Cannon, nephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at Gilligan’s Funeral Home Market Square, Claremorris (F12YP74) on Monday evening from 6 o’clock with removal at 8 o’clock to St. Colman’s Church, Claremorris,

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 1 o’clock with burial afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery Claremorris.

Funeral Mass will be live streamed on You Tube “Claremorris Church Live” https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXznV-Kn2sVij_zi3fZun6w or listened to on local parish radio on 106f.m.

Deepest sympathies to Billy's family on his sad passing. I have fond memories of him that stretch back to my childhood. Great fun in the shop and later in the golf club! Billy was a great ambassador for the golf club and provided an unrivalled welcome for anyone who visited the course. He particularly loved to see the youth and newcomers to the game flourish. Billy had a kind nature and loved the banter and the craic and this made time spent in his company thoroughly enjoyable. Billy was simply a legend. Rest In Peace.
