Patricia Healy nee Walsh

Shranaploya, Glenamoy, Ballina and formerly of Ballinahinch, O’Callaghan’s Mills, Co.Clare - peacefully in the compassionate and professional care of Dr Gerry Cowley, nurses and staff at St. Brendan’s, Mulranny on the 15^th of June 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia trained as a teacher in Carysfort College, Dublin before coming to teach in Co. Mayo. She was Principal teacher in Glenamoy National School for several decades. Patricia was an active member of Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Glenamoy and played a big part in the Church choir. After she retired she devoted her time to her grandchildren.

She and her husband Willie met at a dance in Ballycastle in 1960 and kept up their love of dancing into their later years.

Predeceased by her husband Willie and son Eamon.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Liam (Malaysia and Cork), Martin John (Shranaploya, Glenamoy) and Vivian (Killala), daughters Paula (UK and Inver) and Angela (Elly Bay, Belmullet), brother Freddie (Clare), sisters Sr. Assumpta (Kitty,UK), Betty (UK) and Mary-Jo (Los Angeles), daughters in law Lisa and Lorraine, sons in law James and Anthony, grandchildren Laura, Gillian, Luke, Niall, Lorcan, Cathal, Molly, Fionn and Paddy, great grandchild Hugo, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortege will leave Healy’s Funeral Home, Barnatra on Tuesday at 2 o’clock travelling to her residence.

Patricia’s Funeral cortege will leave her residence on Wednesday the 17^th of June at 10.15am to arrive at Christ the King Church, Aughoose at 11am for Funeral Mass.

Cremation will take place afterwards in Shannon Crematorium at 3:30pm.
