Micheál Sweeney,

Cappagh, Ballycastle - peacefully following a short illness.

Predeceased by his wife MaryAnn, son Peter and his sister Mai O'Driscoll.

Sadly missed by his sons Oliver and Brendan, daughter-in-law Nicola, grandchildren Ciara and Saoirse; Chloe and Emma, and their mum Lorraine; niece, nephew, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends, may he rest in peace.

Removal from his residence on Friday evening at 7.45 to St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle for prayers at 8 o’clock.

Mass on Saturday at 12 noon followed by burial in Ballycastle Cemetery.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Condolences to you. Micheal was such a character- He meet my husband for the first time after mass on a Sunday morning and he brought him to Healy’s pub just to be friendly and to introduce him to the locals. When he finally found out who he was talking to- the craic started. He told stories and lies and winding us up. We laughed and will never forget that evening. To this day we still talk about the stories
