Predeceased by his parents Patsy and Bridget and brothers Michael Joe and Tony.
Beloved brother of Mary Carey (Foxpoint, Barnatra).
He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brother-in-law John Carey, nieces Geraldine, Christina, Joanne and Madeline, nephews John, Christopher and Jason, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Funeral will depart from McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening at 7.30 arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet at 8 o’clock.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, P.J.’s funeral will be private for family only.
For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town and en-route to the Church on Thursday evening and to the cemetery on Friday afternoon, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery, ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard.
The Carey family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
