John Byrne (also known as JK),
Portroyal, Partry, Claremorris, Co. Mayo and formerly of Malin, Co. Donegal.
It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the death of John (JK) Byrne, former Sergeant Garda Síochána, on the 16th of July 2020 peacefully at his residence.
Predeceased by his wife Peggie and his son Cartha.
Beloved father of Maureen Byrne McKeon, Tom, John Enda, Dympna, Conal, Emer Morrin and Orla Carolan, brother of Bridie, Sally, Máire and Nabla.
Sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
In accordance with Government and HSE directives relating to public gatherings, John's funeral mass and burial will be private for family members only.
Removal from his family home on Saturday morning to St. Mary’s Church, Partry for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock.
Burial afterwards in Ballyovey Cemetery.
No flowers and house strictly private please. Donations if desired to Mayo / Roscommon Hospice.
