John, loving husband of Kay, beloved father of Darren and John (deceased), adored grandfather of Kian, respected father in law to Carolina, cherished brother to Mary, Margaret, Barbara and Geraldine, precious uncle to all his nieces and nephews, a loyal, noble and honourable friend to his countless relatives and friends at home and overseas.

We met John in Camden Town in the seventies and we were impressed by his great social work and his care for disadvantaged people. He truly lived out the Christian message.

I remember him fondly when he came to Bunree to visit our home, Mam (Mary Loughney Mahony )used to be thrilled to see John and hear all his fantastic stories about the great work he was doing .what a great loss he will be to everyone that knew him.
