It’s great to hear you were a musician before I was born, on the drums.
You represent the community of the London Irish and set up home there, kept your Irish accent, and kept in touch by coming home at Christmas.
You helped many of the next generation when they took the decision to leave Ireland for work in the UK. Knowing you did it made it a little easier, for your young relatives making the decision to leave home.
You worked as a taxi driver for years there. Who knows what stories you may have heard or witnessed.
You came back to Ireland and back to farming in your later adult years. I think of your independent spirit. You did it your way by buying a farm of land in Leinster rather than your home place in Mayo. Respect.
Many of us remember you enjoying a fine (Irish) meal a pint and a flutter on the horses.
Many more memories, sympathies to those who ll miss you most, family, friends. Rest in Peace dear Uncle Timmy.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
