John (Jake) Nevin,
Brize, Claremorris and late of the Rendezvous Bar, Balla (20th November 2021) - peacefully at his residence, in the loving care of his family.
Predeceased by his brothers, Benny, Christy and Micheal.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, sons John and Declan, brothers Gay, Martin and Jarlath, sisters Joan (Quirke), Delia (Collins), Mary (Layden), daughters-in-law Sandy and Nadia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Tara and Alexandria, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at Balla Funeral Home, this Sunday at 5 o’clock with removal at 7 o’clock to his residence.
Removal from his residence on Monday morning at 11.15 for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace And St Gerald, Mayo Abbey, followed by burial afterwards in Mayo Abbey Cemetery.

for so many things, A great personality and character which made him very popular with people. John favorite saying was ( I Don't see why not ) May he REST IN PEACE.
Really saddened to hear of John snr's passing. Jake, a buddy for nearly forty years will be greatly missed by everyone. A singular gentleman, great character, he spoke often and lovingly of his family. RIP

So sad to hear of the passing of John, I have know John most of my life we used to pal around going to the Dances and any fun around Claremorris or Balla, he moved to London I follow him soon after that we share a room in Shepherds`s Bush had some fun times there, he was also a hard worker, I will always remember him and the fun times we had together, Rest in peace John a dear friend.Tony & family

Him very popular and liked or admired by so many people. John used to play the accordion
down in the Rendezvous,and like all good accordion players,he needed a good top up

I worked for him with Jarlath, for while, when he was building a house in Castlebar, around 1976. He was a Gentleman, he nicknamed me "Cool breeze!"
