John Bonnick
64 Rowan Drive, Castlebar who previously resided at Manulla, Castlebar and formerly of Bournewood, Hertfordshire, London, UK - peacefully on 28th July in Galway University Hospital.
Dearly loved husband of Liz née Conway (formerly of Shrananomragh, Ballycroy) and loving father of Debbie.
He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife Liz and loving daughter Debbie, cherished grandchildren Jasmine and Tyler, son-in-law Pat, brothers Graham (Limerick), Tony and Ken (UK) and Michael (Holland) brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.
May he rest in peace.
John was a baker in Gavin's Bakery in Castlebar for a number of years and in his free time he liked nothing more than making christmas cakes and christmas puddings for his family and friends.
In more recent years he used his baking skills in Tesco, Castlebar where he was well liked at respected by his work colleagues and customers.
John and Liz loved to travel and spent many holidays in his native London and in different parts of Ireland and all over the world.
John will repose in Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar (F23 HT38) on Tuesday from 7.00pm to 8.15pm.
The funeral will arrive at the Church of Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.am on Wednesday 2nd August followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 3.00pm.

Worked with john on n Tesco.
We had the pleasure of working with John in Tesco. He was a gentleman and always had time for a chat and a joke.

I worked with John for many years in Tesco and he was an absolute gentle man.
He always had time for a chat a cup of coffee or a pint and many a chat and joke we shared together.
If you were down you know John would bring you back up with his smile and comforting ways.
He was a man of great knowledge and could hold a conversation on anything topic and you knew where you stood with him.RIP John until we meet again.
