You were the most wonderful man. Our family was better with you in it. We loved coming over to see you and Tess on the island and later in Westport. I have so many wonderful memories of you. I really thought you would live forever.
I hope you are now at peace with everyone up there enjoying a Guinness.
Thank you Myles may you rest in peace X
The loveliest man you could wish for as an Uncle. We had the great pleasure of spending so much time with you when you were in England. Maureen loved you almost as a father (as unfortunately her Dad and your brother Michael died so young. We enjoyed having you as a guest at our house most Sundays - always having such laughs especially with James as a youngster. We loved going on holiday with you and enjoying your easy ways and your idiosyncracies (Carrageen Moss/Whoopsyband). Once you returned to your lovely homeland we enjoyed coming to see you and Tess in Clare Island and in Westport.
You were the kindest, calmest ,funniest human being and we feel very privileged to have shared a part of your life. So lovely to have been able to see you just two weeks ago and to include James and Aaron Myles in our visit.
We will miss you terribly - see you in the next life xxxx
Your warmth, kindness, and lovely nature was infectious. So good with us as kids and then so good with my children. We enjoyed listening to your singing, stories and jokes, you are clearly a beloved member of the community.
An absolute pleasure to have known you.
Lots of love Myles, RIP xxx
Myles Ruddy,
Thank you for all the lovely times we shared with you on Clare Island and in Wesport.
You always entertained us with your lovely singing and would make us laugh and smile with your heart-felt jokes and sense of humour!
Thank you for taking us fishing, letting us play with the sheep, singing for us in the community centre, picking up a jellyfish on Clare Island beach, enjoying a night out in Westport town at over 90 years old and laughing a lot with you and Tess.
Thank you for sharing all the great stories about Clare Island.
And thank you very much and well done for being a wonderful son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend.
We all love you so much Myles,
We will miss you but your with the angels now.
Thank you, God bless and may you forever R.I.P x
