As a gaa coach at St. Colman’s college Claremorris he managed the 1977 all conquering senior team to win the Hogan Cup , which was a record at the time as it was unheard of for a day school to win same . No Mayo college have achieved since. He was renowned coach and mentor for anybody playing gaa in mayo during his time as teacher in Claremorris.
May he Rest In Peace.
