Patrick Dixon (better known as Pat Frank),
Morahan, Belmullet, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Belmullet Community Hospital on 4th March 2021.
Predeceased by his parents Frank and Sarah and his brother Daniel (Stockport, England).
Beloved husband of Patsy (née Boland, Prebaune, Foxford) and dear father of Desmond (Nothampton, England), Caroline (Lancaster, England), Liz (Glenamoy), Paul (Morahan) and Angela (Wesport). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, grandchildren Sarah, Chris, Joseph, Ciarán, Aisling, Ciara, Shauna, Niamh and Michael, sons in law Martin and Stewart, sisters Margaret Robinson (Chicago, U.S.A.), Mary Platacis (Chicago, U.S.A.) and Bridget Ruane (Foxford), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Remains will depart from McDonnells Funeral Home, Belmullet on Sunday at 11.15 a.m. arriving at the Church of the Church of Our Lady of the Dolours, Shanahee for Funeral Mass at 12 O’Clock. After the Funeral Mass the funeral cortege will travel via the Shanahee Road through Morahan and proceed onto Tarmoncarra Cemetery for internment.
Video streaming of the Funeral Mass and all other funeral services for the late Patrick Dixon will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Sunday evening after 6 O’Clock.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Patrick’s funeral will be private for immediate family only. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town and enroute to the church and cemetery, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The Dixon family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
Memorial Mass for the soul of Patrick will be held at a later date. For those who cannot attend due to restrictions, please leave a personal message for the family on the condolence form on this webpage.
