Paddy was a Gentleman and great company to be with on many an occasion in London. May Paddy’s Gentle Soul rest in Peace.
Paddy worked tirelessly over the years to keep his beloved Lacken GAA in existence. A true Gael and stalwart of the gaa family. He will be a massive loss in the club, not only for his ideas and driving force but to the players as he always was there to give a word of encouragement to young and old. He had the greatest interest in the underage lads as he was eager to know how long it would be before they could make the step up to lacken from Naomh Padraig. We are all going to truly miss his presence and the stories he would have.
He was and always will be a legend of lacken GAA.
We miss you our dear friend and chairman

It was always a pleasure to meet up with Paddy when he would attend games in Breaffy as an umpire with his good friend and referee Charlie Collins.
He loved nothing better than having a cup of tea after a game with the county players and discussing both past and upcoming games with them.
Paddy was a true Gael and could hold his ground with the beat of them.
We will miss him greatly.

Had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to Paddy only last week, at Heritage day and North Mayo Board meeting in the Stephenites.
Down through the years in Croke Park, Paddy and his wife Breege usually were seated next to some of our club members and his enthusiasm for the Green and Red was second to none.
A great supporter of our card games down through the years also.
