Portroyal, Partry, Claremorris, Co. Mayo - peacefully at University Hospital, Galway (22nd May 2020).

In accordance with Government directives and in the interest of public health, Strictly Private funeral Mass and Cremation will take place.

No flowers and house strictly private please.

Donations if desired to the Patient Comfort Fund at University Hospital Galway

Beloved husband to Jojo, loving and caring father to Cartha, Iarla and Nyrée.

Pre-deceased by his mother Peggy.

Loving son to John, dearly beloved baby brother to Maureen Byrne-McKeown, Tom, John Enda, Dympna, Conal, Emer Morrin and Orla Carolan.

Sadly missed by mother-in-law Micheline, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces.

I am heartbroken this morning to learn of a dear friend from my childhood. We were part of an infamous class who laughed do much when we should have been working and I wouldn't change a second of it. You had us in tears of
mirth Cartha and I remember those days with treasured fondness. A founding player at Party Athletic we also took to the field together in the late eighties having the dubious honour of never winning a game but those memories too are priceless.
