Tom O’Connor,

Craggagh, Carracastle, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Mayo (May 18th 2020) - peacefully in his 92nd year surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness at home.

Tom, predeceased by his twin sister Mary Higgins, his brother John and his granddaughter Ashley.

He will be very sadly missed by his devoted wife Chris, daughters Breege Keane (Clarinbridge), Eileen O’Shaughnessy (Castleknock), Martina O’Connor (Galway), Michelle Walker (London) and Mary Lavin (Meelick), his 17 grandchildren, brother-in-law Martin Rushe, sons-in-law James, Noel, Andrew, Ambrose and Martina’s partner Kieran, his niece, nephews, neighbours, carers, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and with regard to Government advice and HSE guidelines, Tom's Funeral will be private to family members only.

A Memorial Mass for Tom will be celebrated at a later stage. For those who are unable to attend and wish to express their condolences they can do so online www.funeralcare.ie/deathnotices and also on our Midwest “Condolence” link below.

Tom’s remains will leave his home this Wednesday afternoon to arrive at St. James’ Church, Carracastle for a private Family Funeral at 3 o’clock, with burial afterwards in Carracastle Cemetery.

Tom’s Funeral Mass can be viewed online through the Church webcam.

The O’Connor family wish to thank you for your understanding at this enormously difficult time.
