Maureen Griffin née O'Connor,

Loughloon, Westport, Co. Mayo and Dublin.

Maureen passed away peacefully on January 25th 2024 surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her husband Luke, parents Mary and Terence O'Connor and her nephew Ronan. Maureen will be greatly missed by her sisters Francilla Byrne, Philadelphia (Tom deceased), Margaret Johnson, Dungloe (Donal), Martha Loughrey, Westport (Michael), Annette Egan, Florida (Andrew) and her brothers Peadar, Loughloon. (Mary),Sean Sligo (Stephanie), Turlough Boston (Ann), her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May her gentle soul rest in peace

Maureen will repose at her home (F28 HX92) on Sunday, 28th January from 12 noon until 4pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Mary's Church, Westport on Sunday, 28th January at 7pm.

Mass on Monday, 29th January at 11am with burial afterwards in Aughaval Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/westport.

I knew of Maureen and Luke from my WGC days. For some reason we always used to play in the Open Mixed event with her niece as my partner. They both were excellent companions on the course and afterwards. Maureen was always gentle and friendly during our conversations.
