Elly, Clogher, Belmullet - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar on 17th January 2021.

Predeceased by his wife Bridget.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family sons John (GaothDobhair, Co. Donegal) and Michael and his partner Jennifer (San Mateo, California), daughter Mary Dennedy (Rockfield, Claremorris), grandchildren Anthony, Mary Kate, Conor Óg, Róisín and Ruairí, sister Bridget Ronan (London), son-in-law Conor, daughter-in-law Eilis, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral will depart from McDonnells Funeral Home, Belmullet on Wednesday morning at 11.15 to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Cross Cemetery.

In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Jack’s funeral will be private for immediate family only.

For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town and enroute to the church, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard.

The Barrett families appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

Memorial Mass for the soul of Jack will be held at a later date.
