The Sigerson Cup game between NUI Galway and Ulster University was abandoned last night due to injury.
58 minutes into the game in Dublin, Galway's Sean Mulkerrin suffered a knee injury.
NUIG were awarded the win as they were leading when the injury occurred.
However, it's understood the win will have to be confirmed at a CCC meeting this evening, after the committee receives the referee's report.
NUI Galway manager Maurice Sheridan said it was a very unfortunate injury as Sean Mulkerrin is a great player and ambassador for the club.
The score when the game was called off was NUI Galway 1-10, Ulster University 2-5, with
Mayo's Tommy Conroy among those scoring for the Galway side.
