Two Mayo pool stars helped Ireland to victory in the European U23 Pool Championships on Thursday last.
Geesala’s Padraic Coyle and Danny Feehan from Westport won gold medals for Ireland, beating England in the final in Malta.
They were part of a four man team with Cork’s Sean Walsh and Donegal’s Daniel McHugh.
The Irish team topped their group and smashed Scotland in the semi final before beating England in the decider.
Coyle and Feehan were also part of the Mayo team that won the All Irealnd recently, along with Adam McAndrew and Dermot Kenny.
