Mayo is not fielding an adult Camogie team this year.
That's according to the Mayo Camogie PRO, Fiona Duffy.
In a statement to Midwest Sport this afternoon she says that ''it's a young team, and due to college/work commitments and travelling, the availability of players isn't there.''
She continues by saying ''We hope to build again in the future because we have a great range of talented girls coming through the ranks.''
Fiona concluded by saying ''We still have our u16 & Minor County teams, and there is great work going on with development of the underage teams and building new clubs in the County, with Ballina and Claremorris now fielding up to u14 level. And hopefully more clubs to come.''
Mayo Camogie have no further comment on the matter.
