In boxing, the 2021 National Elite Championships come to an end this coming Saturday.
After three weekends of entertaining action, some quality fights, surprise results and some withdrawals we are left with 20 finals to look forward to.
There are plenty of boxers from across Connacht taking part in the finals.
In the 48kg division Mayo’s Shannon Sweeney of St Anne’s boxing club Westport takes on Carol Coughlan of Monkstown D.
In the 70kg Lisa O’Rourke of Castlerea fights Evelyn Igharo of Clann Naofa.
Aoife O’Rourke of Castlrea was given a walkover in the 75kg class.
In the 81kg classification Castlebar’s Bethany Doocey will battle it out with Nell Fox of Rathkeale.
On to the men’s now and in the 57kg weight class Adam Hession of Monivea will fight Sean Purcell of Saviours Crystal.
And Kieran Molloy of Oughterard fights Luke Maguire of Esker in the 71kg weight class.
