
Former Galway United player Frank Worthington has passed away at the age of 72.
The former Huddersfield, Leicester and Bolton striker Frank died peacefully in hospital on Monday evening following a long illness.
He won eight caps with England, and also had a spell with Galway United in the late 80s towards the end of his career.
He made his debut for the Tribesmen in a 1-1 Premier Division draw with St Patricks Athletic at Richmond Park, Dublin in 1989.
