
Crossmolina’s Rachel Kearns has signed with Galway Women's FC for the 2021 SSE Airtricity Women's National League season.
The 23-year-old Mayo star has previous experience of the Women's National League having played with Castlebar Celtic for a number of years.
The powerful athlete has been more noted for her Gaelic football performances over the past number of years, starring at full-forward for both CL MacHale Rovers and Mayo.
She scored twice for the Galway Girls in a 3-1 friendly victory over Athlone Town AFC Ladies on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sinead Donovan re-signs with Galway for the 2021 season.
A strong and skilful midfielder, the 19-year-old originally played for Cregmore FC before joining Galway Women’s FC in 2017.
Kate Slevin also returns to Eamonn Deacy Park for the 2021 season.
The 17-year-old Claregalway native will be hoping to recreate the huge success she had with the GWFC U17s on the senior squad.
