The Galway minor hurlers held off a battling Clare challenge to progress to the All-Ireland semi-finals.
The Tribesmen defeated the Banner on a full-time scoreline of 1-24 to 1-22 in O'Moore Park, Poortlaoise.
Brian Hanley's side needed to avoid a six point loss to Clare to progress, while the Banner needed a six-point win.
They will now face Wexford next weekend in the last four of the competition in Croke Park.
