Former Galway footballer Cormac Bane has been forced to retire from the sport due to concussion.
The Caherlistrane clubman suffered a serious and prolonged concussion last year and followed that up with a similar injury this year, which forced him to retire.
He told the Irish Independent that it has been a rough couple of weeks and doctors have told him he can't continue playing.
