Carnacon are to appeal against the suspensions and fine handed down by the Connacht Council of the LGFA.
The reigning All-Ireland club champions successfully appealed against their expulsion from the Mayo championship on Tuesday night after eight players - Martha Carter, Marie Corbett, Amy Dowling, Doireann Hughes, Sadhbh Larkin, Fiona McHale, Cora Staunton and Saoirse Walsh - left the county panel over alleged player welfare issues.
But they were subsequently fined €500 and the eight players were each handed four-week bans.
Carnacon have confirmed this evening to Midwest sport that they formally lodged their appeal with the LGFA yesterday.
