Michaela Walsh Swinford AC was competing today at the Irish Life Health National Indoor U23 Championships in AIT Athlone. Michaela moved up to compete at u23 level her first year at this age she stormed to victory taking  gold in the woman's 4kg shot put with a new Indoor personal best throw a full four and a half meters ahead of the silver medalist. Michaela now prepares for the National Senior Championships which will take place at the end of next month.
