Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Sligo town in the early hours of Saturday last.
Following reports of a public order incident, Gardaí attended the scene on St Anne’s Terrace at approximately 1:20am.
A male in his 40s was conveyed to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The scene was preserved to facilitate a technical examination by the Scenes of Crime Unit. Investigations are ongoing.
