580 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals around the country today.
The INMO says University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of those, with 113, followed by Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Galway with 47 patients on trolleys.
Elsewhere, in this region there are 32 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 29 at Mayo University Hospital and three children on trolleys at Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe.
