A teenage boy has pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of a priest at an army barracks in Galway.
On the fifteenth of August last year, Fr Paul Murphy was stabbed several times while sitting in his car at Renmore Barracks, where he serves as chaplain.
The now 17-year-old boy, who can't be identified because of his age, was due to stand trial in May, but admitted the charge during a brief court appearance today.
A date for his sentence hearing has yet to be set.
