
Electronic shock collars, currently in use to train dogs here, must be banned.
That's the view of a Fine Gael Senator who is calling for a ban on the collars, which can deliver up to 6 thousand volts to make a dog behave.
The Department of Agriculture, has opened up a public forum, looking for views from the public and invite alternative submissions.
Senator Regina Doherty want's the collars to be made illegal.
