Details

Investigations are continuing following a tragic incident on the Connolly/ Sligo railway line yesterday.

Gardaí were alerted to an incident on the rail line by Irish Rail between Mullingar and Enfield on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:00pm.

The body of a male was removed from the scene.

A post mortem will take place in due course.

Investigations are ongoing.
