The Oireachtas Media Committee says it's open to convening during the summer recess.
It's also seeking further information from RTE in relation to the ongoing payments controversy.
The Media Minister will meet with advisory groups tasked with reviewing governance and culture at RTE next week.
Alan Dillon - a member of the committee - says the State broadcaster needs to provide all documents requested.
