
The funeral mass for a man who lost his life in road collision near Swinford at the weekend will take place in Louisburgh tomorrow.
Ciaran Keating from Kilsallagh, Westport died in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon on the N5 Swinford, Co Mayo.
He and his wife Ann Marie were on their way to see their son Ruairi play a league of Ireland match for Cork City against Sligo Rovers when they were involved in a two-vehicle crash.
Ciaran sadly passed away from his injuries, while his wife Ann Marie was taken to hospital for treatment.
Ciarán is predeceased by his beloved mother Marie, father-in-law Kevin, brothers-in-law Colm, Joey and Shane.
Dearly loved husband of Annemarie, devoted father of Conall, Ruairí and Aisling and adoring grandpa to Bobbi, May, Reggie, Archie T. and Sonnie.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his father Gerry, mother-in-law Claire, sister Linda, brothers Gerard, Gary and Ronan, daughters-in-law Amilia, and Emily, Aisling's partner Matthew, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family has asked for any donations to be given to the Marie Keating Foundation in honour of their late mum Marie. She passed away after a brave battle with cancer in 1998.
The Marie Keating Foundation confirmed that it will be closing its doors on Thursday as a mark of respect to Ciaran and his family.
Ciarán will lie in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh this evening from 5 o’clock concluding with Vigil Prayers at 7 o’clock.
Removal on tomorrow morning at 11.30 walking to St. Patrick's Church, Louisburgh for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon.
