7 Mayo pubs have been shortlisted for the years Bar of the Year awards.

The awards recognize the outstanding talents and remarkable establishments that have been selected as finalists.

Nevins Newfield Inn in Newport has been nominated for 3 awards - Visitor Attraction of the Year, Innovative Bar of the Year and Outside Space of the Year.

The Porter house in Westport has been shortlisted for both Tourist Bar of the year and Best Live Entertainment Bar.

Both the Cobblers Bar and Paddy Macs have been listed in Traditional Bar of the Year.

JW's Brasserie has been shortlisted for Gastro Bar of the Year while two Mayo businesses have been listed in the late bar/nightclub of the year namely Bar Square & Time Square Night Club in Ballina and Cosy Joe's Bar in Westport.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by Anton Savage on Monday the 21st of August in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
