Mayo County Council has announced that the county's new €250 million dual carriageway between Turlough and Westport is closing for five nights for essential works.
The temporary closures will take place between July 30th to August 11th.
A statement issued by Mayo County council outlined that in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that it is the decision of Mayo County Council to temporarily close the road during the period commencing Sunday, July 30, to Friday August 11, 2023, to facilitate essential maintenance works.
These essential works are programmed for five nights (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
Advance notification of start date will be provided here on MidWest Radio and Variable Messaging Signs (VMS).
