Over 5-thousand electric vehicles were registered in quarter two of this year, which is a 127 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The DoneDeal Car Price Index also found EVs and hybrids now account for just over half of new cars registered in Ireland, compared to just 18 percent in 2020.
