Legal claims against CervicalCheck may make the service financially unviable.

 

The claim's been made by the World Health Organisation, which states an 'exponential' rise in the legal claims against the screening programme risks rendering it financially unsustainable.

 

According to the Irish Times CervicalCheck was potentially liable for 300 million euro in legal claims by last August, set against an operating budget of 34 million euro.
