The Pension Promise Coalition is bringing its campaign to Galway today.
The group is looking for an increase of 34 per cent of average earnings to the state pension.
Members of the public are invited to attend the event at the Galmont Hotel, where pensioners will speak about their lived experience on the current state pension.
Speakers at the meeting include Age Action's Celine Clarke, Orla O'Connor from the National Women's Council and Maureen Kavanagh from Active Retirement Ireland.
