ALDI has opened its new 7 million euro Ballyhaunis store this morning and 30 new jobs have been created.
The retailer's latest development is part of a 63 million euro west of Ireland expansion plan.
The German head-quartered supermarket now operates 158 stores around the country.
The official opening of the Ballyhaunis store, located on Upper Main Street, took place at 9 am this morning.
The store was officially opened in the presence of the local team and Store Manager Charlene Kilgallon.
Councillor John Cribbin was also present at this morning's official opening.
He told Midwest Radio's Alannah Nolan that a store like this will bring more business into the locality....
