The Status Yellow Thunderstorm and Rain Warning issued for the entire country has been upgraded to a Status Orange for part of the day.

This Orange level warning is valid until 6:00pm this evening.

The Status Yellow warning issued this morning is due to be lifted at 10:00pm tonight.

For the duration of the orange level warning, thunderstorms and very heavy showers producing significant rainfall accumulations over short time periods.

There are a number of locations experiencing power outages at the moment also.

Close to 100 ESB customers in Crossmolina are currently without power and restoration time is expected to be after 5:0pm this evening.
