A campaign is underway aiming for the reopening of the swimming pool in Ballaghadereen.
The facility has been closed down in recent times since last December, with renovation works needed for its return.
Roscommon Galway Deputy Claire Kerrane says that aroung €40,000 will be needed for these improvement works.
She believes that such an amenity is of great importance to a town like Ballaghadereen.
