Galway gardai arrested a man in connection with a drug seizure in the city yesterday.
Working with members of the Divisional Drugs Unit, gardai seized over €25,000 in drugs and made an arrest, having executed a search warrant at a house.
During the course of the search approximately €20,000 worth of cannabis and €5,000 worth of cocaine was discovered and seized.
The substances have been sent for analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A man in his 40s was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 but has since been released and a file is to be prepared for the DPP.
