
Young people from rural communities are leaving in their droves due to poor access to housing, according to Macra na Feirme.
The group is currently undertaking a 79 kilometre walk from Athy to Merrion Square in Dublin to highlight issues facing its members.
Its concerns include the availability of housing and healthcare in rural areas, with the issues set to be included in a letter to be handed to the Taoiseach and Tánaiste later.
