Details

Mayo County Council have announced that the first section of the new N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project, the Castlebar Bypass, will open today at 11am.

This 10km section of the new N5 is a 100km/hr dual carriageway and will extend from the N5 Roundabout at Turlough to the N5 Roundabout at Pheasanthill on the Westport Road.

The left in/left out interchanges at the N60 Breaffy Road and N84 Ballinrobe Road will also be opened at this time.
