Eight in 10 people expect the cost-of-living crisis to get worse in the next six months.
That's according to the latest consumer mood tracker from Red C.
The tracker found only 14 per cent of consumers believe the Irish economy will improve.
They expect borrowing costs and the affordability of housing to worsen further in the coming months.
