
A Ballinrobe councillor has called for additional garda resources in the town following a spate of violence in the town.
Fine Gael Councillor Micheal Burke says people have been attacked and businesses have seen their doors damaged as a result of this ongoing fighting.
He says its only a matter of time before an innocent person is severely injured.
Councillor Burke says a heavier garda presence is needed in the locality to try and deter crime in the town.

Meanwhile, Councillor Damien Ryan has acknowledged all the resources that Gardai have put into the town, but more needs to be done.
He says action needs to be taken now before it gets out of hand.
