A public assembly will take place this Saturday afternoon in Castlebar, organised by a group called HOME (Holistic Outlook on the Migration Emergency).
The event gets underway at Market Square, Castlebar at 4pm .
A discussion will be held concerning the government's mass migration policy and the implications for communities in Mayo and around the country.
Stephen Kerr, describes himself as “a citizen journalist from Breaffy”, and one of the founders of HOME. He says the group was established to encourage government engagement with the people and he says the public is invited to attend the assembly to air their views and share their experience.
